Some explanation 👇
Hematemesis ,
Vomiting of stomach contents mixed with blood, or the regurgitation of blood only.
How does Haematemesis occur?
Haematemesis is simply defined as “vomiting blood”. It is caused by bleeding from part of the upper portion of the gastrointestinal tract. It has a wide range of possible causes, depending on the site of blood loss and the tissue that is actively bleeding.
Can hematemesis cause death?
Mortality from acute upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage is between 8 and 10%, but varies widely with age and with the presence or absence of serious associated diseases such as renal failure, malignancy, congestive heart failure, or cirrhosis. The majority of deaths occur in patients over age 60.
cornea,
The transparent part of the eye that covers the iris and the pupil and allows light to enter the inside.
Vitamin K ,
Vitamin K helps to make various proteins that are needed for blood clotting and the building of bones. Prothrombin is a vitamin K-dependent protein directly involved with blood clotting. Osteocalcin is another protein that requires vitamin K to produce healthy bone tissue.
Vitamin K found,
Green leafy vegetables, such as kale, spinach, turnip greens, collards, Swiss chard, mustard greens, parsley, romaine, and green leaf lettuce.
Vegetables such as Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage.
Jaundice ,
Yellow skin caused by the build-up of bilirubin in the blood.
Jaundice may occur if the liver can’t efficiently process red blood cells as they break down. It’s normal in healthy newborns and usually clears on its own. At other ages, it may signal infection or liver disease.
Hemophiliya ,
A disorder in which blood doesn’t clot normally.
When blood can’t clot properly, excessive bleeding (external and internal) occurs after any injury or damage.
Hyperplasia,
Hyperplasia is increased cell production in a normal tissue or organ. Hyperplasia may be a sign of abnormal or precancerous changes. This is called pathologic hyperplasia. It can also be due to the growth of completely normal cells. This is called physiologic hyperplasia.
Scrotum ,
The bag of skin that holds and helps to protect the testicles. The testicles make sperm and, to do this, the temperature of the testicles needs to be cooler than the inside of the body. This is why the scrotum is located outside of the body.
