COPD/Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and theirs symptoms

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a collection of lung diseases that cause breathing problems and obstruct airflow. This group of diseases can include refractory (severe) asthma, emphysema and chronic bronchitis . Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema, is a long-term lung disease that makes it hard to breathe. COPD is one of the major causes of chronic morbidity and mortality worldwide. Many people suffer from this disease for years and die prematurely from its complications.

COPD is the fourth leading cause of death in the world and further increases in its prevalence and mortality can be predicted in the coming decades. Cigarette smoking is the most commonly encountered risk factors for COPD. Although in many countries air pollution resulting from the burning of woods and other biomass fuels has also been identified as a COPD risk factor.

Examples of COPD— Chronic bronchitis, Emphysema and Chronic asthma.

Symptoms of COPD are given below-

Including shortness of breath, chronic cough, phlegm, cough and sputum, wheezing, chest tightness, weight loss etc.
